Member Collaboration: HBH Canada and Manuport Logistics have Completed the OOG Shipment to Turkey

2 min read

HBH Canada is very proud to share this OOG Shipment with the XLP Partners, Manuport Logistics.

This move consisted of a very tall piece (457CM) going on a 40’FR from Vancouver, BC to Izmit, TK.

The HBH Canada team worked in collaboration with the XLP members from Manuport Logistics.

The team had to move fast; they were contacted on short notice as the customer had bee  n trying to move this for a long time with others but was unsuccessful. Until they contacted HBH Canada.

Given the significant height of the piece, they weren’t allowed to load it at a warehouse, as it would not be legal to dray from there to the Port with the added height of the Flatrack. They had to arrange an entire loading operation next to the Port, so they could legally haul it to the terminal for further loading onto the vessel.

After that, the team had to arrange a direct-to-vessel loading with the SSL and the Port. Due to height restrictions, this could not be received before the regular cut-off and would need to be drayed at the time of vessel loading for direct lifting onto the vessel.

This move took quite a bit of effort, dedication, and fast thinking to get it going and to meet the tight deadlines the customer was working with. They were able to complete this in less than 2 weeks, with less than 2 days’ notice.

This is just an example of the kind of service you will get with HBH Canada!
