Megalift Transports Second Set of Generator Stators & Transformers!

Jimah East Power 2 x 1000 MW Coal Fired Power Plant is an ongoing project under the EPCC of IHI-Toshiba-Hyundai Consortium. Megalift Malaysia has been appointed as the official logistics provider to transport the cargo from Port Klang (the designated port of discharge) to the site in Port Dickson in the state of Negeri Sembilan.

There are two sets of generator stators and transformers to be moved. Similar to what Megalift did last year, Megalift received the cargo in Port Klang via double banking and sent them to Jimah in a barge and transported them to the site.

Megalift administered the lifting of a Generator Stator using a strandjack and turning it 90 degrees to its final resting position.

The generator stator and transformer are the heart of the power plant, a project estimated to be completed by the end of 2019.
