Expert Airfreight Handling by FLS Group: Acrylic Sheets from Thailand to the US

2 min read

Flexibility is the cornerstone of our mission: Keeping the world moving. This was evident in our latest shipment of 10.5(L) x 2.44(W) x 1.50(H) acrylic sheets, weighing 16,732 kg from Rayong, Thailand to Leland, NC, USA.

Initially set for sea freight in a 40’FR container, unexpected space constraints delayed the shipment which was unacceptable to our client. Realizing the urgency of the order, our team swiftly proposed an airfreight solution. However, sourcing an airline partner capable of handling such oversized cargo under tight deadlines while maintaining cost efficiency was no easy feat. Through our determination and strong relationships with airfreight partners, we secured the right aircraft, prepared all necessary materials and equipment in just a week and smoothly executed the transport from Suvarnabhumi airport to Chicago O’Hare Airport.

Thanks to the incredible collaboration between our cross-functional teams at FLS Thailand and FLS USA, the cargo arrived at Leland precisely on schedule, earning high praise from our client.
