Celtic Shipping discharges wind turbines from Chinese vessel in Killybegs, Ireland

XLP member, Celtic Shipping, have successfully handled a GE project of wind turbines in Killybegs, Ireland.

A chinese vessel, The Rui Ning 6, a 32,460 GT bulk carrier that is 190m long and 32m wide berthed in Killybegs Harbour to successfully unload the cargo of wind turbines. It is one of the largest ship to birth in Killybegs. This is not the first ship with windmills to birth in Killybegs but it is the largest and a lot of work was done to get ship into the port. This would have not been possible without the cooperation and assistance of a number of companies including Celtic Shipping. Without their expertise and experience this project would never have got off the ground.
