EGL Perform Storage & Transport for Beni Sweif Cement Project in Egypt

Egyptian Global Logistics (EGL) Subsidiary of KADMAR GROUP successfully delivered 2 Gearboxes and 2 Transformers from Adabiya port in Suez to Beni Sweif cement factory using beams and steel support after its storage in the port yard.

Each unit travelled a total distance of 280 km using 10 axle lines of a Goldhofer modular trailer. The trailer weighed 78 tons with 3.40m height and 6.90m in length however the major challenge was the 6.90m width, as the basic route involves a number of narrow roads and obstacles.

EGL overcame obstacles and tight schedules, solving the challenges in the safest and most cost-effective technique. Through careful planning, precise manoeuvring and absolute precision, EGL was able to transport the units safely to the factory site, thanks to EGL’s project team for their cooperation.
