Salammbo International Services Ltd Awarded 120 MW Windmill Project for Tangier, Morocco

Salammbo International Services Ltd., are pleased to inform that their Company, belonging to Salammbo Group, were awarded a 120 MW Windmill Project for Tangier, Morocco, further to a tender in which some 1st class Freight Forwarders participated.

The mission of Salammbo International Services Ltd., was the sea transportation of all components and equipment for this project from China and Spain to Tangier Med Port.

Due to delay in formalities, authorisations & civil works, the Logistics activities and equipment transportation only started in February 2017 and ended in May.

In total, there were 40 machine Vestas V90, each consisting of 3 MW, as well as 120 blades being shipped from Tianjin Port, China in 2 voyages consisting of 60 blades in each voyage with the remaining equipment being shipped from Marin port, Spain in 4 consecutive voyages. The vessels used for this project were chartered from Thorco Projects.

Overall, the project was a full success at all levels. Other similar projects are on the way in Morocco and Tunisia, where Salammbo Group will be present in order to participate in the tenders for the Logistics and transportation business.
